Europe’s new, exciting and most complex cultural quarter is now being constructed in Budapest, and every Hungarian can be proud of it. The Liget Budapest Project is presently the largest urban development initiative on the continent with a multiple award-winning cultural content, which includes the renewal of the green areas and recreational functions of the City Park, as well as the expansion and development of its centuries-old institutional system. Thanks to the Liget Budapest Project, the City Park – a cultural quarter with a history going back over 150 years but now renewed and expanded to accord with 21st -century requirements – will be a prominent place and tourist destination in Budapest on the European cultural map.
